IMPORTANT CHANGES TO UK EMPLOYMENT LAW FROM APRIL 2026

Also, worth noting is that a new Fair Work Agency will be set up under the Department of Business & Trade, to consolidate enforcement of various employment rights such as holiday pay, SSP, etc. Employers will need to be more proactive in record‑keeping (e.g. around holiday entitlement/pay) as this ‘single enforcement body’ model will mean less fragmentation and clearer routes for complaints or investigations.
